Jasmin Agosto (she/they) is the programs & exhibitions manager at NXTHVN. She is a multidisciplinary arts curator and producer from Hartford, CT with ancestral roots in Borikén. Agosto has been working with artists, community organizers, healers, students, and elders to co-create cultural arts and history/herstory focused events, exhibitions, programs, and festivals for two decades. In 2018, they founded their company Sageseeker Productions, which has focused on inviting Connecticut-based performing artists into interdisciplinary collaborations, centering Black womxn, womxn of color, trans, non-binary, and queer artists of color. Their work is known for infusing spiritually-based rituals and artistic experimentation. Agosto holds a BA in Educational and American Studies from Trinity College and an MA in Artist Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Community Development from NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She was named a Connecticut Arts Hero in 2021 and honored as one of Connecticut Magazine’s 40 under 40 in 2022.
